“不过影响的其实只有非法的网络赌博产业，正规经营的赌场并没有受到波及。我看很多人都在网路上留言说，少了网络博彩，柬埔寨的经济将进入大萧条，我觉得太夸张了。不过看照片，的确很多大楼都是空的，租客在听到风声之后连夜搬走，押金都不要了。”艾伦说道。

In a word, Xigang should not have developed in such an abnormal way as gambling. 当然，柬埔寨政府也乐见其成，虽然短期内可能会对当地经济带来一定程度的衝击，不过在这样的扫荡之后，可以让西港恢复原本的面貌，同时降低投资者对当地治安的顾虑，吸引更优质的投资者来西港设立公司，让当地经济往正面的方向发展，而不是依赖违法产业生存。在这次的事件之后，西港的经济将面临新一轮的重新洗牌，不过相信只要柬埔寨政府能继续保持这样的执政方针，相信迟早可以还西港一个公道，再创那个传说中清美幽静的渡假胜地。
